GOAL:
Students will be creating "tape people" by wrapping separate body parts, cutting them off and repairing with tape, then putting all pieces together to make people.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
1. Students will create a sense of movement using sculpture techniques.
2. Students will work effectively in teams to create a completed sculpture.
3. Students will use creative techniques to assemble realistic or abstract pieces of art.

Tape Sculpture requirements: 50 points
Come up with a pose for your sculpture. Work with a group and decide who will be the model that gets wrapped for the sculpture. Other people in your group must help wrap. Wrap only one section at a time Your project must NOT show seams Your project must be assembled well and represent the human form and include hands, arms, a torso, and a head. You must use a box, or a flat cardboard piece or your artwork can be free standing. Nothing should be falling off. Your project must be well crafted, neat, and professional (No dents, sloppy construction, or elementary looking sculptures will be graded) Remember everybody needs to contribute to this project. Everyone should be working on it. Daily grades are given individually. |
