Daily Participation: Participation points will be given each day. A student can earn participation points by being on task, participating in class discussions, and by cleaning after themselves. Students are expected to clean their tables and work areas before they leave. If a student chooses not to meet the expectations of the class they will not receive their points. If a student is tardy and choose not to participate and clean-up they will not receive points.
Absences: Please contact me one week in advance of any anticipated absences to ensure you are up-to-speed with coursework. If sick, recovery is your primary responsibility, but do reach out to me when you are feeling better so I can help you catch up.
Projects/Artwork Students are expected to keep all of the artwork completed in class. At the end of the semester students will turn an art portfolio for the end of the year art show and also create a virtual online art gallery showcasing 5 of their best pieces. Make sure that it is organized and complete. I only want your best work. No sloppy work.
Handouts Students are expected to keep each of the handouts they receive in this class and place them in their sketchbook. In the future they will be used as guides for exams and quizzes. This includes all PowerPoint note sheets, rubrics, etc.
Final Exam Portfolio At the end of the semester students will have a final exam in the form of an online virtual portfolio. If students have demonstrated effort on all projects and in their sketchbooks they will pass the class.
