OBJECTIVE: Students will learn about patterns, line design, and shading basic shapes.
REQUIRMENTS: 50 points possible 5 points Step 1: Write your first and last name and class period on the back of the paper. Write it big so I can read it. Flip the paper over. This is where you will complete your artwork. Avoid folding, tearing, ripping the paper. 10 points Step 2: Choose a basic shape and draw it on the paper the best you can. Have the shape go off the edge on one side. Make sure that it drawn large so it uses 1/4-1/2 of the space. 20 points Step 3: Around the shape draw a series of different line designs and zentangle patterns. You must have at least 8 + different zentangle patterns. It's important to keep the lines tight together. Outline your lines with a black sharpie. Next fill in some of your lines and patterns in black. Remember to 'fill in' at least 1/2 of your patterns in with sharpie. This will give your lines more depth. Focus on clean, neat, controlled, and creative lines. 10 points Step 4: Choose one color and use colored pencils and paint to shade in the shape. If you want to make it more interesting blend the colors from dark to light. 5 points Step 5: Last go back and outline your shape with a black sharpie. Fix any mistakes. Erase pencil marks. Double check your name on the back. Step 6: Include some shading with pencil around some of your designs. For extra points: 5 points Hide the following two artworks inside your artwork. |
