This is an exciting class, and you are going to have the most memorable 6 weeks you have ever had; as a result, you will succeed in this class! This class is the introduction class. We focus on the experimentation of different mediums such as drawing, painting, and sculpture. This art class is designed to emphasize the following areas: discipline, technical skill, design, composition, problem solving, conceptual thinking, creativity, aesthetics, art history, presentation, safety, and visual culture. My goal as a teacher is to provide you with a safe environment that allows you to grow as a student and as an artist. My hope is that all of you will find appreciation for art and embark on a journey of self-respect, self-reflection, growth, tolerance, and academic success.

In case of school closure you will be responsible to work from home online. All classroom lessons will be posted in Veracross. You will expected to be familiar with Google email, Zoom, Google Meets, Google Classroom, Flipgrid, and have access to the Art website. It is important to reach out and communicate if you have health issues and participation/attendance issues so I can work out individualized plans.
