FINAL DRAWING 100 POINTS
DIRECTIONS:
1. Use a clipboard as a base for your still life drawing. 2. Cut, clip and layer real objects onto the clipboard and use it as a reference for your drawing. Take an image of the arrangement if you like. 3. It's important that your clipboard has a obvious theme. For instance, one is about a student's grandmother and another is about beauty. What would an auto mechanic clipboard look like? A math professor clipboard? A clock maker clipboard? A doctor? A musician? Tell a story with the clipboard. 4. Set up 5+ objects, (that match your theme) so that it displays overlapping, variation of sizes, repetition of color, and depth. Objects can include letters, envelopes, postcards, newspaper clippings, drawings or sketches, name tags, photos, etc...Have a combination of 2-d objects with 3-d objects. Take a photo with your camera and use it as a reference. 5. When drawing the still life the artwork must use of the majority of the space on the paper. In other words, draw large. 6. The artwork must show depth, values, tones, shadows, and a high level of detail. The more realistic the artwork the better the grade. 7. Have the background a dark color. (black with dark blue or purple) 8. Choose a medium. (pencil, colored pencil, charcoal, ink, colored pencil, mixed media, or watercolor) |
