ART ONLINE STUDENT PORTFOLIO'S
PURPOSE: Students who are in grades 9-12 are required to create an online portfolio. Students will continue adding to their portfolio as they continue to take art classes. The online portfolio shows completed works as well as mastery of composition, craftsmanship, technical skill, achieving goals, art history presentation, research, and their creative process. Class: All High School Studio Art 9-12
This project is worth 25% of your Final Grade Final Project: Creating and Building a Digital Portfolio throughout the year Resource: How to Create a College Level Portfolio-to-make-an-art-portfolio-for-college-or-university OBJECTIVES: - Students will learn about the importance of showcasing their work and growth in art and apply that knowledge to the building of their portfolio. Students will evaluate each others portfolio. MATERIALS: - One computer per student - One camera per student (can be from smartphones) - WEBSITE: You can use these two website builders or find another one of your choice. Once your website is created you need to link your website to the "Master Web Link" so that the teacher can have access to your site. Feel free to look at other students websites to generate idea for your own site. Weebly is a very user-friendly website builder; however, to best instruct your students, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you begin by creating your own website/portfolio before starting this lesson.
