Plastic containers are used to store the Acrylic paint when doing painting projects.
I buy a pack of 100 of these on amazon for like $30-$40 and they last the entire year. I assign one to every kid and I color code per class. Acrylic dries up if you leave the lid cracked open and the kids can peel it out. They are super easy to clean. Moves the accountability to the kids about taking care of a palette and versus me having a Sink full of dirty “art” dishes or a clogged sink.

Students need to repeat this process twice. One bowl per class period. The inside needs to be smooth and the trim needs to be level and smooth. Let the bowls get to leather hard. Have student put newspaper inside the bowls to help present sagging. Score and slip each rim and put them together. Blend in the seam. Have students practice forming/creating eyes, claws, wings, becks, hair, etc... depending on the design they selected.
